A Brown-throated, three-toed sloth (Bradypus variegatus), in Costa Rica. May 5, 2005. This mammal is classified within the Bradypodidae family and is one of only four species of three-toed sloths. Its natural habitat is the South American continent, from Honduras to Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, West Venezuela, East Perú and Bolivia, Paraguay, and North Argentina.
