With help from her teacher, a young girl learning to write Dari in a non-formal education class in a Home Based School for adolescent girl run by an NGO called GWA (General Work & Development Association) in Kabul. Girls learn to read and write as well as get other vocational training like carpet weaving, sewing, tailoring and embroidery, etc. Although very risky, these home based schools were secretly operating even during Taliban time.
