Description:
Though wild elephants are still found in Bangladesh, most elephants are domestic beasts of burden. People form strong bonds with elephants and given their longevity, elephants often form lifelong partnerships with their "Mahouts". Many stories exists of the friendship between an elephant and a Mahout (with children too). Bathing in the hot summer is pleasure for both children and elephants, and an elephant makes a great "rubber duck". Mirjapur, Bangladesh. 1970s.
