A footprint of Royal Bengal Tiger in the west zone of Sundarbans, the world's largest mangrove forest. Environmentalists say there are only 300 tigers left in this zone - a huge fall from the 600 tigers in 1990s. Due to killing and environmental degradation this world famous tiger is becoming extinct. Out of 8 species only 5 families remain. Sundarban is the largest mangrove forest of the world shared between India and Bangladesh. It is the only mangrove forest with tigers and is home to the world's largest population of Irrawaddy dolphins. It is part of the natural and cultural heritage of Bangladesh.
