The road to Bandarban, one of the three hill districts of Bangladesh. Located in the south-east region, Bandarban is about 87 kilometers from Chittagong. The three highest peaks of Bangladesh Tahjindong, 1280 meters, also known as bijoy, Mowdok Mual, 1052 meters, and Keokradong, 1230 meters - are located in this district. The Chimbuk peak and Boga Lake are two highly noted features of the district. The newly reported highest peak of Bangladesh - Saka Haphong, 3488 feet is also here in Thanchi upazila. Main rivers are Shankha or Sangu, Matamuhuri and BAKKHALI. Its natural diversity has turned it into one of the most exotic tourist attractions in Bangladesh.
