A dead turtle washed up on the beach at Alorkol in Dublarchar village after Cyclone Sidr left a path of destruction when it hit on Nov 15. The forest office has no estimation of the loss of livestock, but villagers said thousands of deer has perished. The turtle is believed to have died as a result of dehydration or eating containminated food.
