Description:
A water fountain, for drinking water is set into the side of the Hassan II Mosque (colloquially known as the "Casablanca Hajj"), in Casablanca, Morocco. Water is important in Moroccan culture, a source of comfort for travellers, by-passers and the generally thirsty. Traditionally started by the rich and powerful as a measure of charity they are also outstanding examples of craft and comfort, providing a focus within the garden, a soothing spectacle.
