- Description: A black stone statue, at the exhibition of 42 ancient artifacts, returned from France, in the National Museum, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. A collection of 186 artifacts, nearly 1500 years old, was decided to be sent to French Musée Guimet for exhibition, amidst mass public protest. 42 pieces were sent to France on 1st December 2008. But the Government of Bangladesh decided on 25th December to cancel its collaboration with the French Museum after the theft of two statutes of Vishnu, in the International Freight Zone, of the Zia International Airport. The remaining 143 pieces have been returned to the Bangladeshi museums, where they belong. Dhaka, Bangladesh. March 3, 2008.
