- Description: Oshani (8 years old) washes dirty dishes outside her home. She narrated her story as, I was playing with my friends near our house when I heard people shout, Sea is coming. Run. At first I did not understand anything, but when I saw lot of people running, I too started running away from the sea. I took shelter in a little shop behind our house. People were still shouting, crying and running. No one from my family was in sight. I became very frighten and started to cry too. I could not find anyone from my family until evening (430pm). Finally I met them when I went to the temple. There were thousands of people there. We stayed in the temple for two days. When we returned, everything was destroyed as far as eyes could see. Our house was full of garbage. Everything was damaged, including my school books..Boossa village, about 8 km from Galle city. Sri Lanka.
