Iraq..When we visited Ayat Nabeel on May 26, 2003, about 4 months after she was first photographed before the coalition attacked Iraq , her economical situation taken a new turn. Her mother is still working in the school, but she does not receive ANY salary as there is no administration (absence of government). AyatÕs family has been surviving totally on the advance ration that they received before the war under the Oil for Food Program. The program does not exist anymore. Once the food stock finishes, they are not sure how they continue to feed themselves.
