Thamer Khazal (27), surviving Khazal Sabr, embraces older of two surviving daughters Zainab (1 yr. 2 mo). Zafarania District in Baghdad.On April 26, 2003, while the coalition forces (Americans in this case) were disposing a large pile of ammunition left behind the Iraq Army near the residential neighbourhood of Al Mualameen in Baghdad, one of the rocket went off and hit the house of Khazal Sabr Hasoon. It destroyed the house completely killing 6 people and injuring almost everyone that survived. Khazal Sabr Hasson, the head of the family, was killed including 3 of his 11 children. His son Thamer Sabr (27) was away from the house thus he survived. When he return, he realized that his wife is killed leaving two children, Zainab (1 yr. 2 Mo) and Fatima (20 days).
