Chang Lifang, a sturdy female soldier in the past, is 78 years old. She secretly started walking for her home from Arunotai Village in Thailand and crossed the border to Burma to go up north until she had arrived Tengchong city alone with a serious difficulties. During the trip, there was not even a pair of shoes to wear and she had to starve. It took her over six months to return to her motherland, help her only brother, redeem her home, the only family property she has got left from the Chinese government and come back. She always misses her brother and would love to visit him one more time. A protruding bone on her left big toe is the identity she received from her father, just like her beloved brother.
