A globally reputed photographer, writer, curator and activist whose ongoing "A Struggle for Democracy” is a milestone in documentary photography practice in Bangladesh. A former president of the Bangladesh Photographic Society, Alam set up the award winning Drik agency, the Bangladesh Photographic Institute and Pathshala, the South Asian Institute of Photography. Alam has been shown in MOMA in New York, Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, and was given the Shilpakala Award in 2015 (highest award for cultural activities) for his contribution to the arts in Bangladesh.

Having been in the Design/Photography field for over 10 years, Thushan joined Majority World in 2014 to take over Image processing/Operations. He has served as Art Director/Creative Associate and Head of Branding in the past. Thushan is also a freelance Creative consultant and Interior Designer.
An innovative, results-oriented senior manager, based in London, with more than 33 years of experience in the private sector working for multi-national company’s. He has managed cross-cultural teams in South Asia, Africa, and the UK. While being CEO of Drik Bangladesh and Drik-Bengal Muslin, he has researched and published a book on Bangladesh’s legendary fabric, muslin, and led the team which produced a groundbreaking exhibition and documentary on it.
