Description : A family from the ethnic Tai Lue community, at a village outside Jinghong, in China. The Tai Lue is one of several tribal people of Tai ethnic origin, one of the world?s oldest cultures. Today, over 90 million people speak various dialects of the Tai language and represent a total of 80 different groups of Tai ethnic origin. Pockets of this ethnographic group can be found throughout present-day Southeast Asia. They are believed to have originated in central or possibly eastern China around 2,000 BC.
