Description : Shaima, a young Egyptian girl, attends different income generating workshops as well as recreational activities at Red Crescent West Helwan in Cairo, on Friday the week end in Egypt..She works in a small commercial garment manufacturing workshop where she stitches, irons and cleans clothes from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, six days a week for 100 Egyptian pounds per month. In her family besides her parents there are four sisters and two brothers. Except her 10 year old brother Ahmad, no one has ever gone to school. She cannot read or write, except her own name.
