Description : Champa and her son Ridoy. They live at the Kamalapur railway station, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. A large number of people from the rural areas migrate to the big cities in search of a living due to poverty, landlessness caused by river erosion, desertification, flood and other natural disasters. As they cannot afford even a scanty accommodation, they make the streets, pavements, parks .and open areas their dwelling and become the pavement dwellers.
