Description : The Sithulpawwa Rajamaha Viharaya is an ancient Buddhist monastery located inside Yala National Park in southern Sri Lanka, believed to have been built in the 2nd century B.C. by King Kavantissa. It was historically known as "Chiththala Pabbatha," which translates to "the hill of the quiet mind". The site includes rock temples, cave paintings from the Anuradhapura era, and stone inscriptions. For centuries, it served as a major center for Buddhist education and scholarship for monks. Sri Lanka.
