Lagos, Nigeria. Waterfront communities,members of the Nigerian Slum Federation joined by Amnesty International in a peaceful protest in the streets of Lagos. November 15, 2017. More than 6 months after the court ruling, the state was yet to fulfill its promises and obey the court orders. Otodo Gbame and other waterfront communities staged a peaceful protest to the government house. The protest was billed to last for three nights and days, however, the Nigeria Police Force cracked down on the protesters by 12.28am on November 16 and arrested 158 protesters. They were later made to sign an undertaking never to protest to the government house again.
