The annual Shiv choturdashi or Shivmela, is famous for the assemblage of thousands of Hindu pilgrims who worship the Hindu God Shiva, at the Shiva temple on top of the Chandranath hills, 1500 from ground level. Many devotees shave their heads and take holy bath during the festival held for about 10 days in February. Sitakunda, Bhatiari, Chittagong, Bangladesh. February, 2008.
