Some more than three millions of Muslims participated the congregation. Muslims gathered on Friday amid tight security. Huge security forces guarded the venue spread over 190 acres on the river bank in Tongi. Last year more than 2.5 million people joined the final prayers. The Ijtema has been held annually at the same venue since 1966. The munajat shuns politics and focuses on reviving the tenets of Islam and promoting peace and harmony. Dhaka, Bangladesh.
