May 24, 2007...Maria Auxiliadora” is the first mixed Chorale that was grounded in the Canary Islands, and had its origin in 1945, when a Religious "Sister Pino", who conducted the nuns choir of the Military Hospital Chapel of Santa Cruz de Tenerife , incorporated four masculine voices, among them was the Conductor-Founder of our Chorale: Mr. Juan Luis Coello Rodriguez. The 8th December 1945, this chorale group went to Arafo to sing The Mass of the Immaculate Conception Virgin, and as a result of this success, Mr. Juan Luis Coello, decided to ground a choir in Arafo. ..The following year, 1946, the Chorale performed on the 24th. of May, (Day of Virgin Maria Auxiliadora), that is the reason of its name, the interpretation was: The Mass "Tedeum Laudamus" of Perossi, for two voices and organ.
