Afghan boys run with empty pails to fetch water, on the outskirts of the city of Bamyan, in the central Bamyan Province. They will load the water onto donkeys and sell it to people in the area. The average Afghan men struggle to support their families on the equivalent of US $3 per day, and some 20 to 30 per cent of children of primary-school age work to supplement the family income. There are thousands of children who work to compliment their familys income all over Afghanistan. July 8, 2007.
