Immanuel - (Nigeria) Afolabi

Immanuel obtained his Master’s of Arts, with a Ph.D. grade, from the University of Ibadan, where he specialized in visual semiotics. Immanuel's multimedia skills (a combination of texts, sounds, still and moving images) and language arts (writing, speaking, listening and reading) are being deployed meticulously and conscientiously into training teachable minds, as well as communicating various corporate, social and development matters, for the advancement of the global community.

Some of Immanuel’s creative projects have been exhibited, screened and published by Reuters You Witness, BBC Focus on Africa, IFRA (Institut Francis de recherché en Afrique) etc; and such projects include:

"Documentary Photography Days" (a 2016 global photo exhibition in Salt Galata, Istanbul, Turkey); “Osun Sacred Grove: Lost but Found?” (a docs-film screened at IFRA-Nigeria 2012 International Conference, Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan); “A Rich but Dying Land” (a docu-film screened at the 2015 5th edition of REPRESENT International Documentary Film Festival); and "Life in My City" Photo Festival (Ethiopia, 2013). He also developed photojournalism and creative writing course contents, which he taught for three years under the Distance Learning Centre of the University of Ibadan—Nigerian oldest university.
