- Description: Najjemba Jackline (17) runs a small fruit shop by the main highway leading to Kampala in village Lukaya, Masaka region in Central Uganda. Najjemba Jackline loves to dance and play games. She joined ELA two years ago, because she liked the club activities. Jackline lives with her aunt as she is an orphan. She lost her father when she was very young. Her mother married again and she has two step brothers and one step sister. But her mother also died and now her step brothers and sisters live in Kampala. Jackline dropped out of school when she was in senior 3. She does not have children and strongly said âI donât want to have children nowâ. Six months ago, she joined the microfinance group and used the money to set up a business selling fruits. She can earn 50,000 UGX a week. She said after joining ELA, her life has changed because of the money she is now earning and also because she has the chance of playing and singing with other young girls. She said her dream is to be a singer. happy, happiness, smiles, smiling
